Let us read the 14th chapter of John’s gospel tonight, but take the 12th, 13th, and 14th verses for our lesson. Jesus is speaking and the Spirit can take the words of our Lord Jesus and make them as real to us as if he were speaking tonight. He says, “Verily, verily, I say unto you; He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also: and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.”

Faith that Prevails, chapter 1, “God-given faith.”

Read Hebrews 11.1-11.

I believe that there is only one way to all the treasures of God, and that is the way of faith. By faith and faith alone do we enter into a knowledge of the attributes, become partakers of the beatitudes, and participate in the glories of our ascended Lord. All his promises are yea and Amen to them that believe.

From “Salvation of God Is All-Inclusive.”

This morning we will move on to the “gifts of healing.” “To another, faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit.”

There is no use expecting to understand the gifts and to understand the epistles unless you have the Holy Ghost. All the epistles are written to a baptized people, and not to the unregenerated. They are written to those who have grown into a maturity as a manifestation of the Christ of God. Do not jump into the epistles before you have come in at the gate of the baptism of the Spirit. I believe that this teaching God is helping me to bring to you will move on you to become restless and discontented on every line till God has finished with you. If we want to know the mind of God through the epistles, there is nothing else to bring the truth but the revelation of the Spirit himself. He gives the utterance: He opens the door. Don’t live in a poverty state when we are all around, in and out, up and down, pressed out beyond measure with the rarest gems of the latest word from God. “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” There is the authority of God’s word. And remember, the authority of God’s word is Jesus. These are the utterances by the Spirit of Jesus to us this morning.

I come to you with a great inward desire to wake you up to your great possibilities. Your responsibilities will be great, but not as great as your possibilities. You will always find that God is over-abundance on every line he touches for you, and he wants you to come into mind and thought with him so that you are not straightened in yourselves. Be enlarged in God!

Ever Increasing Faith, chapter 1.

“For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

These are days when we need to have our faith strengthened, when we need to know God. God has designed that the just shall live by faith. Any man can be changed by faith, no matter how he may be fettered. I know that God’s word is sufficient. One word from him can change a nation. His word is from everlasting to everlasting. It is through the entrance of this everlasting word, this incorruptible seed, that we are born again, and come into this wonderful salvation. Man cannot live by bread alone, but must live by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. This is the food of faith. Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

From “‘Thus Saith the Lord’ for Your Life.”

Beloved, I believe that God wants to take us further into his revelation and I beseech you to hear, because there are none so deaf as those who will not hear. We ought to have ears to hear and the hearing of faith because the word profiteth nothing unless it is mixed with faith in them that hear it. If you want the plan of God made real in your hearts you must take it all as “Thus saith the Lord.” Then God will be able to put you on the foundations which cannot be shaken. God has the only plan and that plan is so perfect that it has no flaws in it. You will find that it always comes out right to the place where you can build upon it. “There is no other foundation than that which is laid,” and that foundation is Christ Jesus. He is not only the cornerstone but he is also the head of the corner. We must see that everything is perfectly dovetailed together, and that we are all members in particular of that body in order that it may be fitly joined together in perfection in all its glorious beauties. Just like that wonderful city which will come right down out of heaven and will surpass every city that ever was made in all the world. Billions and trillions of saints, far more than human mind can give expression to, because they will be innumerable as the sands on the seashore, will comprise that wonderful city, the bride of the Lamb, which will come down out of heaven. And so I believe that God has a wonderful place for us.

When I read the Scriptures and see that blessed truth that Jesus said to the sons of Zebedee, “To sit on my right hand and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father,” I believe there will be innumerable seats there for those prepared for that place. And every time I preach I try to get people prepared for that wonderful place at the right hand of God. I do not want to think that anyone will come short of the adornment which only the Holy Ghost can give, the adorning of the beautiful grandeur of our Lord Jesus Christ which is for us all.
